Flowers and plants
Aim for at least two species of bee-friendly plant for each flowering period
When you only have a very limited area available, the varieties you choose will be all the more important, since some only bloom shortly and then occupy space, you have to think carefully about the plants choice.
I have found this especially challenging within the very limited area available to me. Another problem has been to obtain the optimal and appropriate species, and when buying conventional cultivated plants, these plants are most likely sprayed with pesticides.
Bacopa White
Bee friendly flowers for hanging baskets: What I have tried, Sutera cordata known as the Bacopa is quite good. Bees and bumblebees collect pollen from flowers.
Starflower
Borago officinalis (Wikipedia) also known as a starflower, is an annual herb in the flowering plant family Boraginaceae. It is native to the Mediterranean region and has naturalized in many other locales. It grows satisfactorily in gardens in the UK climate, remaining in the garden from year to year by self-seeding.
